  • Account Questions

    • Can I change my payment method once my items have shipped?
      As long as we have not shipped any part of your order, we can change your payment method. Once part of your order has shipped from our warehouse, we cannot change the payment method for you order.
    • Can I use more than one form of payment per order?
      Sportsmith is able to process one form of payment per order. For instance, if you choose to pay with your Sportsmith account, the balance of your credit line must cover the entire amount due for the order. It would not be possible to cover any difference with another payment method.
    • Do I have to pay sales tax?
      We currently collect sales tax in Oklahoma. If you are tax exempt in Oklahoma, we're required to have a copy of your tax certificate on file. Fax your certificate to 918-307-0216.
    • Do I need an account?
      YES, you have to setup an account before you can purchase items on Sportsmith.net. Once you are ready to checkout you will be asked to either Login or Register. With an account, our system records your purchase history, order status and additional ship to addresses.
    • How do I edit my account information?
      Just go to Sportsmith.net and click on the "My Account" link on the left side of the page. You can then choose to edit your billing address or shipping addresses from that page.
    • How do I get credit terms?
      Currently all web orders must be placed using a Credit Card. If you would like to setup credit terms for your phone and fax orders you must fill out a credit application. In most cases some order history with us will be required. Click Here to view and print out the credit application. Please fax the application back to us at 918-307-0216.
    • How do I setup an account?
      If you have already placed an order through Sportsmith.net, then you already have a web account and can login to your account to check your orders status or place additional orders.  If you have not then you can click here to be taken to our registration page.  Once you have registered you can return to Sportsmith.net to update your account information as needed.
    • I forgot my password, what do I do?

      If you have forgotten your password you can use our Password Recovery page to retrieve the lost password.

      Enter your email address in the box and click on Send New Password. Please be patient and wait for the email and do not repeat this process. It may take a few minutes for this email to arrive in your inbox. If you have a spam blocker on your email, please check this folder also for the email.

      Once you receive the system generated password, enter your email address and enter the new password in the password field. Press the log-in button.

      This will direct you to the "Update Email or Password" page. Go to the Change Account Password section and enter password you received by email, then enter the password of your choice, enter again to confirm the password, and click on Save New Password.

    • Troubleshooting payment errors
      If you are experiencing problems with the website processing your payment please try the following:
      1. If your card is new or recently reissued, make sure it has been activated.
      2. Double check the card type(i.e Mastercard), the account number and expiration date.
      3. Remove dashes or spaces from the account number.
      4. Verify that you have entered your credit cards security code.
      5. If everything seems to be correct, call the card issuer's customer service phone number. Your credit card company may need to speak with you before they authorize your purchase.
    • What are my payment choices?

      All online orders through Sportsmith.net currently require a credit card to process your order. If you are a current customer of Sportsmith and already have terms you will still have to contact our customer service department to place your order over the phone.

    • What if I have multiple locations?

      Sportsmith.net allows you to maintain an address book of alternate shipping locations.  To maintain these alternate shipping locations you must first login and then proceed to the "My Account" page.  Then you may choose to Add / Remove Ship To Locations.  These additional ship to locations will be available to you during the checkout process.

    • When will my credit card be charged?
      Your credit card will be preauthorized when you place your order but won't be charged until your order is shipped.

    • Can I fax my order?

    • Can I ship using COD?
      Because of the additional time and cost, as well as the rarity with which it happens, we have elected not to offer COD shipping to our customers.
    • Do I Pay Customs Duties and Taxes?
      If a shipment is being delivered outside the United States, the recipient is responsible for the customs duties and taxes.
    • How do I change or cancel my current order?

      Once you have placed your order we are unable to make changes.  If you need to order additional products you will need to place a second order.

      To cancel your order you must contact our customer service department at 1-888-713-2880.  You may not be able to cancel your order if it is already being prepared for shipping. If this is the case then please wait for your product to arrive, and then return your order by calling 1-888-713-2880.

    • How do I return my product?

      All returns require a Return Authorization (RA) Number. Talk to a Customer Service Representative to obtain an RA number. Some products may not be returnable for credit or may require a restocking fee. See our Return Policy for more information.

    • How do I track my shipment?
      To track a recent order, go to Sportsmith.net, sign into your account, and click on My Purchases.  You may then choose to enter a date range or choose to view all orders.  Select the order you want to track,  then click on the tracking number for delivery information.  If you are having difficulty tracking your package online you may also contact our Customer Service department at 1-888-713-2880.
    • Missing order emails
      If you're not receiving order confirmation or status emails from Sportsmith, we might not have the right email address for your account on file. Check your email address and update it if needed. If you're still not receiving order emails, your ISP or email software might be blocking Sportsmith's emails, thinking (mistakenly!) that our email is spam.
    • Orders Not Delivered and Returned to Sportsmith
      If a shipment from Sportsmith is non-deliverable or refused by the recipient, the customer is responsible for both the original and return shipping costs as well as restocking and administrative fees. These fees will be deducted from the price of the parts and the difference is refunded to the customer.
    • Our Best Price Guarantee
      We give you the guaranteed lowest price, whether you buy one item or a dozen. Compare our prices. We beat the competition, however, if you find a lower price than Sportsmith's price for the same item; Send us a copy/link by fax or email and we will match their price.
    • Printing Invoices for Orders Placed on Sportsmith’s Website
      1. Log into the website
      2. In the Order Views section, click on Invoice History
      3. Enter the date or date range of the order
      4. Click on the order number for the invoice you need.
      5. The invoice will come up on your screen and you can print.
    • What do I do if I received the wrong product or a product is missing from my shipment?
      All discrepancies in shipments must be reported within 5 days of receipt of shipment. To report a discrepancy, please contact a Customer Service Representative at 1-888-713-2880.

      Damaged Goods

    • What is the status of my order?

    • What is your return policy?

      Returns*

      • You must have a return authorization number (RA#).  This number must be written on the outside of the box being returned.
      • Customer will pay all return shipping expenses.
      • Items must be returned within 30 days.
      • When items are received and determined to be in "sold as new" condition, you will receive credit for the item minus the restocking fee.

      Restocking Fees

      A 10% restocking fee will be applied to the return.

      No returns after 30 days from date of delivery.

      Sportsmith parts and products meet or exceed original equipment manufacturer specifications and are warranted free from defects or failure for 120 days unless otherwise noted.

    • When will I get my order?

      When your order is placed it will be processed the same business day. If all of the parts or fitness products on the order are in stock, the package will ship the same day the order is processed, or the following business day.

      If your parts are back ordered, they will be shipped when the parts arrive to us.

    • Where do I find my serial number?

      How to Find the Serial# on Fitness Equipment

      • Many cases, the location of the serial number is common between brands and types of equipment; If you do not see your brand listed, we recommend checking the noted location of the serial number for the type of unit

      Concept 2 Serial # Locations

      Rower Unit Serial # Location
      Model A Units manufactured before October 1, 1982 will not have a serial#.  Date of purchase is used for these rowers.

      Units after October 1, 1982 the serial# is located on the bottom edge of the mount board for the chain guide.  Serial# can be 2 pair of numbers seperated by a dash or 6 numbers.
      Model B Located under the left or right foot board (must tip unit on its side to expose).
      Model C Located between the "V" of the flywheel support legs on the bottom side of the rower.  Serial# begins with 6 digits that represent the date the unit was boxed. 
      Model D Units prior to October 17, 2005 the serial# is located between the "V" of the flywheel support legs on the bottom side of the rower.  Serial# begins with 6 digits that represent the date the unit was boxed. 

      Units from October 17, 2005 to present the serial# is located between the "V" of the flywheel support legs attached to the left side of the flywheel cover.  Serial# will be three groups of numbers seperated by dashes.
      Model E Located on the left side of the flywheel housing under the box arm.  The flywheel is attached to the box arm and it is the main angled arm.  Serial# will be made up of three groups of numbers seperated by dashes.
      Dynamic Indoor Rower Located on the inner left side of the front leg.  Front leg is the leg that attahces to the monitor arm.  Serial# will be made up of three groups of numbers seperated by dashes.

      Serial numbers of Precor equipment are almost always on a white label below a black barcode (appears similar to a UPC code).  Depending on the date of manufacture, the serial number is an alphanumeric combination that is either 10 or 13 characters long.  The serial number is in different locations depending on the type of equipment you own.

      The notice from your carrier should have a phone number on it that you can call to reschedule delivery. If you choose this option, make sure that you're around when your package arrives again.

      Damaged Goods

      Damaged or missing items must be reported within 5 days of receipt.  If a shipment arrives damaged or if there is damage to the box, you must:

      • Note damage on the bill of lading and have the driver sign it to acknowledge the damage
      • Contact Sportsmith Customer Service within 5 days of receipt at 888-713-2880  to begin the claim process
      • Save the box and merchandise for inspection

    • Information Regarding Your Common Carrier Shipment

      When your palletized Common Carrier Shipment arrives, you MUST count and inspect ALL packages BEFORE signing off on the delivery receipt. FAILURE TO DO THIS WILL RESULT IN ANY DAMAGES OR LOST ITEMS BEING YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.

      We cannot file a claim with the trucking company if this information is not noted on the delivery receipt at the time the delivery is made. (If the truck driver gets impatient, make sure you still count and inspect first and then inform us of any problems you may have experienced with the driver.)

      Common Carrier companies charge extra fees for any additional services you need, including:

      You may pick up your order at the Tulsa, OK warehouse.  Once the order is ready for pickup, you will receive a call from Customer Service.
