LifeFitness 9100 Treadmill Notify Maintenance Lift Control Error

Probable Cause

A) Unit intermittently stuck in up position.
C) Unit will not lift and 3 amp breaker tripped.
D) Incline control error.
E) Insufficient power source.
F) User exceeds weight limit.
G) Unit will not lift.
H) 3 amp circuit breaker has tripped.
I) Lift motor is faulty.

Corrective Action

A) Press 9, 1, 9, ENTER then press INCLINE DOWN. Check all connections at the CPU control board and for presence of suppressor board.

B) Inspect the 3 amp circuit breaker. Inspect all connections at the CPU control board and suppressor board. Reset 3 amp breaker. Press 9, 1, 9, ENTER and then press INCLINE DOWN.

C) Inspect all connections at the CPU control board and suppressor board. Inspect home switch for smooth operation and inspect home switch cable for damage and poor connections. Replace damaged cable or reset bad connections and re-test unit.

D) Access the incline manual mode in diagnostics by pressing 9, 1, 9, ENTER and then pressing HILL program key. Incline the unit with two people on the unit.

E) Ensure treadmill power is a dedicated circuit. Verify by turning the breaker at the panel OFF. Using a voltmeter, check for voltage at the treadmill's outlet. With the breaker at the panel OFF, zero volts should be detected from the outlet treadmill connects. If voltage is present, treadmill is not on a dedicated circuit. Call an electrician to rectify.

F) Advise user of unit's weight limit of 300lbs (137kg).

G) Perform the lift test procedure by pressing 9, 1, 9, ENTER and then pressing HILL program key. Inspect the home switch for smooth operation and inspect the wiring of the home switch for damage or poor connections. Inspect the lift motor cable connections and for the presence of the suppressor board (should only be 1).

H) Test the circuit breakers and replace if necessary.

I) Inspect the lift motor for excessive wear or damage. Replace the lift motor if necessary.
